A podiatrist is a medical specialist who diagnoses and treats conditions affecting the foot, ankle, and lower extremity. They manage injuries, deformities, skin and nail disorders, nerve and tendon problems, and complications related to chronic diseases such as diabetes. Podiatrists perform clinical evaluations, imaging review, biomechanical assessments, and both non‑surgical and surgical treatments to restore mobility, reduce pain, and prevent long‑term complications.
