Physical Therapy

A physical therapist (PT) is a licensed rehabilitation professional who specializes in restoring movement, strength, and functional ability after injury, illness, or surgery. Physical therapists evaluate mobility, balance, posture, strength, and pain to develop individualized treatment plans that improve physical function and reduce limitations. They use therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, neuromuscular re‑education, gait training, and modalities such as heat, ice, and electrical stimulation to support recovery. PTs work across outpatient clinics, hospitals, rehabilitation centers, and home‑care settings to help patients regain independence and prevent future injury.
