Otolaryngology (ENT)

An otolaryngologist — commonly known as an ENT specialist — is a medical doctor who diagnoses and treats conditions involving the ears, nose, throat, sinuses, voice box, head, and neck. They manage both medical and surgical problems ranging from hearing loss and sinus disease to throat disorders, airway issues, and head and neck tumors. ENT specialists perform procedures such as endoscopic sinus surgery, tonsillectomy, ear tube placement, and thyroid or salivary gland surgery. Their work spans pediatric and adult care, often collaborating with audiologists, speech‑language pathologists, allergists, and primary care physicians to restore function and improve quality of life.
