An obstetrician‑gynecologist (OB/GYN) is a medical doctor who specializes in the comprehensive care of women’s reproductive health, pregnancy, and childbirth. They diagnose and manage conditions involving the uterus, ovaries, cervix, and pelvic organs, provide preventive and routine gynecologic care, and oversee prenatal, labor, and postpartum management. OB/GYNs perform both medical and surgical treatments, including minimally invasive procedures, and coordinate care for reproductive, hormonal, and pregnancy‑related conditions across all stages of life.
