A cardiologist is a physician who diagnoses, treats, and helps prevent diseases of the heart and blood vessels. Cardiologists are part of a highly specialized team that evaluates symptoms, performs advance diagnostic testing, and delivers individual treatment for both common and complex heart conditions.
